University Counsel and Associate Secretary of the University
Tala Mohebi joined the Office of the General Counsel in April 2016. Her areas of responsibility include corporate governance, trustee and officer conflicts of interest, signature authority, trademarks and licensing, distribution and licensing agreements with the USC School of Cinematic Arts, corporate acquisitions and affiliations, and other special projects.
Prior to joining USC, Ms. Mohebi was an associate with the Los Angeles office of O’Melveny & Myers LLP, where she practiced in the firm’s corporate department, handling a wide variety of transactions for public, private, and nonprofit corporations.
Ms. Mohebi graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor’s degree in International Political Economy and from the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism with a Master’s degree in Public Diplomacy. She earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School.
