Deputy General Counsel, Keck Medicine of USC

Jeannine Taylor joined USC’s Health Sciences Legal Team in August 2009. As a health care attorney, Ms. Taylor provides legal support to Keck Medical Center of USC. She assists with major corporate acquisitions and affiliations of healthcare entities, manages high exposure healthcare projects, and functions as lead counsel of USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. She is also responsible for overseeing healthcare licensing, regulatory, compliance, and fraud and abuse issues, as well as government payer reimbursement.

Prior to joining USC, Ms. Taylor spent seven years of practice in the healthcare department of the law firm Foley and Lardner, LLP. While at Foley, Ms. Taylor focused her practice on payment issues arising under the Medicare and Medicaid programs, and provided compliance counseling to institutional clients that included county health systems, hospitals, and managed care entities. She also has experience in legal issues relating to clinical research studies, and previously served on an institutional review board.

Ms. Taylor graduated from the USC Gould School of Law in 2002 and from University of California, Irvine (B.A), magna cum laude in 1998, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
