Student Affairs Issues
The OGC provides legal support to various departments on issues relating to:
- Complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation: the Office of Equity and Diversity and USC’s Title IX Office are responsible for investigating complaints by faculty, staff, students, and applicants (for both employment and student admissions) who believe themselves to be harmed by harassment or discrimination related to issues that have protected class status (see protected characteristics);
- Disability accommodation: questions or concerns regarding obligations to accommodate students should be brought to the attention of the Office of Disability Services and Programs;
- Immigration: The Office of International Services provides immigration assistance to USC students.
- Student Judicial Affairs and Community Standards (SJACS): SJACS addresses student misconduct that is not related to protected characteristics.
