University Counsel, General and Healthcare Litigation

Nathan McClellan joined the Office of the General Counsel in January, 2020.  He is responsible for advising the University regarding threatened and ongoing litigation, including healthcare litigation and tort claims.

Prior to joining USC, Mr. McClellan worked at the Los Angeles and Philadelphia offices of Dechert LLP, where his practice included complex commercial litigation, mass torts, products liability, and a robust pro bono practice.  Mr. McClellan regularly defended companies in high-stakes litigation and has extensive experience in all phases of litigation, including mediation, trial, and appeal.

Mr. McClellan received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland in 2006, and graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 2009.
