Healthcare Counsel and Director, Board Relations
Emily Liang provides legal support to Keck Medicine of USC and the newly-formed USC Health System Board of Directors. She advises on corporate governance, affiliation agreements, and other special projects, and works extensively on laws and regulations applicable to telehealth in light of COVID-19.
Ms. Liang first joined the university in 2014 managing special academic initiatives in the Office of the Provost before becoming Assistant Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs where she oversaw the financial and operational functions of various academic divisions.
In 2018, Ms. Liang assumed the role of Assistant Vice President for the Office of Legal Affairs and Professionalism, where she specialized in change management, information governance, financial management, and eDiscovery platforms.
Ms. Liang graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and earned her J.D. from USC Gould School of Law.
