University Counsel II

Ashley Bobo joined the Office of the General Counsel in October 2023.  Ms. Bobo provides legal support on a wide range of labor and employment matters for the University and the University’s healthcare systems, including advice and counsel, pre-litigation, litigation, government and administrative investigations, and labor related disputes.

Prior to joining USC, Ms. Bobo previously worked for leading Los Angeles law firms where her practice focused on defending both public and private employers in litigation actions and before administrative agencies in matters involving harassment, retaliation, discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour class actions and PAGA claims. Ms. Bobo was recognized in 2022 and 2023 by Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch”, a recognition awarded to young lawyers for their outstanding professional excellence in private practice. 

Ms. Bobo earned her a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University in 2013 and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2016. During her time in law school, she was a member of the University’s Moot Court Team and represented USC Gould School of Law at the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot competition in Hong Kong.
