University Counsel III
Christopher Campbell serves as University Counsel in USC’s Office of the General Counsel, having joined the University in 2014. As a health care attorney, Mr. Campbell provides legal support to the University’s health system, Keck Medicine of USC, including Keck Hospital of USC, USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, USC Arcadia Hospital, and USC Care Medical Group. Mr. Campbell advises the health system on a wide variety of health care issues, including high profile litigation matters, risk management, compliance, regulatory, employment, government investigations, insurance, medical staff, managed care, and transactional matters.
Prior to joining USC, Mr. Campbell was an associate at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher in the litigation department, where he handled a variety of litigation matters, with a focus on complex business litigation and intellectual property litigation. While at Gibson Dunn, Mr. Campbell was recognized as a Rising Star by Southern California Super Lawyers Magazine.
Mr. Campbell graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a Bachelor’s degree in English in 1997, and earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School cum laude in 2003.
